Care

How should I store my products?

Store your products in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct heat or sunlight. Melted or softened products sealed in their original packaging should be allowed to reach room temperature for several hours before use to restore to their solid state. The consistency and texture may be altered after this happens, but the product will still retain all of its moisturizing benefits.

How long will my products last?

Mika products are made with natural ingredients. We recommend that our products be used within six months of purchase for best results. It is always recommended to use clean hands before using our products. Proper storage of our products includes keeping them out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Any differences in texture, color, or overall appearance of one of our products is typically associated with it being a natural product. We ask that you inspect your order upon receipt and contact us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding our products.

I noticed some changes in the tone of my soap or it is giving off water (sweating). Is this normal?

Yes, because this is a natural product, there will occasionally be a difference in texture or consistency. It's either the fatty acids in the shea butter (which are GREAT for your skin) or the natural fruit juices. Occasionally, the fatty acids will solidify at different temperatures and you'll get these cute globules of stuff. This does not affect the quality of the product. To avoid these kinds of drastic changes it is recommended to store your products away from high, humid temperatures (it is recommended to use a soap dish for your soaps to avoid humidity and it will also prevent the soap from wearing out faster).

Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?

We recommend that if you are pregnant, you always consult with your healthcare professional before changing your skincare routine and starting to use any new products.

Are your products hypoallergenic?

Many customers have allergy problems with other products and when using our Mika products they have had great success with no problems. Mika products contain natural ingredients including natural plant essential oils which like any other ingredient, could cause an allergic response. We recommend that you do a patch test on your arm before you start using any of our products to confirm that you do not have any reaction to the ingredients. It is inspired by the name of the founder of Mika, her name is Micaela.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

All our discounts and promotions are announced through our social media channels or by subscribing to our page. Please subscribe to our page if you haven't already so you can receive the latest products and receive exclusive offers only for subscribers.

Do you offer samples?

Yes we do! We include samples of our products with every order, just like with our soaps, creams, balms, scrubs or any of our other products. Unfortunately you cannot choose which sample you will receive at checkout.

Shipping and Returns

How long will it take to receive an order?

After your order is complete, we will process your order at our facilities in approximately 1-3 days, unless there is an issue with any of the products, shipping address or payment order. For orders placed on weekends, we will take priority to pack your order on Monday. After that, your order will be delivered by courier and will take approximately 3 to 7 business days to arrive.

Why don't you offer international shipping?

We are currently working on expanding our shipments in the near future.

I think my package is missing, what can I do?

We will always try to provide you with the best possible service. In case your package is lost or you receive your product damaged, please send an email to mikajabonartesanal@gmail.com , so we can help you as soon as possible.

My shipping address is incorrect, what can I do?

We are not financially responsible for packages lost or sent to the wrong address if the error was on the part of the customer.

Can I return an order?

All sales are final, in order to give our customers confidence and security in purchasing a new product, we do not offer returns or exchanges of merchandise under any circumstances.

This guarantees that any product purchased has not been in the hands of anyone other than our staff. This criterion applies to all items displayed on this website.

If for any reason the product received is not the product that appears on your purchase receipt or was damaged during shipping, please report it immediately so that the corresponding change can be made by emailing mikajabonartesanal@gmail.com

Can I return a product if it arrives melted?

It is possible that some of our products may melt during the course of arriving at their destination, especially during the summer months, in areas with hot or humid climates. If your package has been outside for an extended period of time, there is a chance that the product may melt. In most cases, you can simply put the product that has melted in the refrigerator and allow it to solidify. We will not be held responsible for products that have melted during the course of shipping, but we will always do our best to make it right. You can send us an email to mikajabonartesanal@gmail.com including your order number information and photos of the product you received.

Are orders delayed due to COVID-19?

Due to Covid-19, please be aware that your package may experience a possible delay in receiving your order. We greatly appreciate your patience, we are doing everything possible to ensure that you receive your order safely.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

Other cards are not accepted, but can possibly be added to a PayPal account after which you can pay for your order on our website using PayPal.

In what currency is my order processed?

All payments will be processed in Pesos/MXN.

What can I do if my payment was declined?

If your payment was rejected, it may be due to several reasons. Please contact us at mikajabonartesanal@gmail.com and we will help you.

How long do I have to make my payment through SPEI or OXXO?

48 hours after the order was placed, otherwise it will be automatically cancelled.

Where can I find my receipts?

You can find your purchase receipt in your email after you have made a purchase. You can also find your receipt in your Mika Jabón Artesanal account. If you are having trouble finding your receipt, please contact us by email at mikajabonartesanal@gmail.com so we can send it to you.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

The time will depend on your bank account, it could take around 14 days to receive a refund. Also the refund will be received where the payment was made.

Do you have gift cards?

No, we do not have gift cards available at this time.

I received a cancellation email, what does this mean?

All orders are subject to confirming product availability. There may be inventory or system errors and in this case we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the product. It is important to keep an eye on the email in case we need additional information, to cover any outstanding fees, or for general questions, otherwise if we do not receive a response the order will be cancelled.

If the corresponding payment is not made with OXXO or SPEI, orders will be automatically cancelled 48 hours after the order is placed.

Sustainability

Are your packaging eco-friendly?

We use paper to package our soaps and ship them in cardboard boxes. For other natural cosmetic products we use glass that can be reused. We always try to reduce the use of plastic or non-biodegradable materials.

Where do the ingredients in your products come from?

Our products are of natural origin, botanical extracts and essential oils. We know the impact that many substances have on health. Toxic ingredients are excluded from our products. Over the years, we have studied ingredients that cause harm to health. We do not use abrasive ingredients in our formulas.

Where are your products made?

All our products are handcrafted and made in Mexico.

Do you offer 100% natural products?

Yes, most of our products are made from naturally derived ingredients.

Do your products contain fragrances?

We have a wide variety of products, some contain fragrance and others do not, so it is very important to read the ingredients to see if they contain fragrance, as we also offer fragrance-free products.

Does Mika manufacture its products?

Yes, we manufacture our products from scratch.

Vegan

Are your products animal friendly?

Our products are tested on people, not animals.

Do you offer vegan products?

Yes. Many of our products are vegan, and we will also indicate when a product is vegan (certified). You can also read the ingredients to confirm that the product is vegan.
